What Is Endolift Laser?

Endolift is a minimally invasive treatment in which micro-optical fibers are placed under the skin through a needle entry point and laser energy is delivered directly to the deep layers of the skin. The wavelength used is absorbed by both water and fat tissue. As a result, localized fat is reduced while the connective tissue contracts, tightening the skin and stimulating new collagen production in the long term.

Because it works from the inside without damaging the skin surface, recovery time is very short.

Which Areas Can Be Treated?

On the face it is most often preferred for sagging of the double chin (under the chin), jawline, cheeks and mouth corners and for mild laxity around the under-eye area. The neck can also be treated together with the face in suitable candidates. On the body, it can be used for small areas of laxity and fat such as the inner knees, inner arms and abdomen.

Who Is It Suitable For?

It is suitable for people with mild to moderate skin laxity, no significant sagging, who want firming without surgery. It usually gives good results between the ages of 30 and 55. In patients with advanced sagging, endolift alone is not enough; in that case surgical options such as a facelift are more appropriate. Endolift can also be used to support results after surgery.

It is not performed during pregnancy or in the presence of an active skin infection, uncontrolled chronic disease or a bleeding disorder.

How Is It Performed?

The treatment area is marked and local anesthesia is applied. A micro-fiber is inserted under the skin through entry points opened with a fine needle, and laser energy is delivered to the planned area in a controlled, fan-shaped pattern. The procedure takes 30–60 minutes depending on the area. No stitches are needed afterward; most people return to daily life the same day.

Risks

Swelling, mild redness, bruising and tenderness lasting a few days are expected after the procedure. Rarely, temporary numbness or a feeling of firmness or irregularity under the skin may occur; these usually resolve on their own within a few weeks. Delivering the laser energy at the right dose to the right layer is key to preventing unwanted outcomes such as burns; it is therefore important that the treatment is performed by an experienced physician.

Step by Step

1

Assessment

Skin quality, the degree of laxity and fat distribution are assessed to determine whether endolift is suitable.

2

Planning

The areas to be treated are marked; if needed, a combination with fillers or surgery is planned.

3

Application

Laser energy is delivered with a micro-fiber under local anesthesia; the procedure takes 30–60 minutes.

4

Aftercare

Swelling subsides within a few days. Tightening begins in the first weeks, and the best result appears within 3–6 months.

A Surgeon’s View

In the right patient, endolift provides impressive firming without surgery; however, it does not replace a facelift. Discussing openly during the examination whether your expectations can be met with this method is the most important key to satisfaction.

Frequently Asked Questions

A single session is enough for most patients. If needed, the result can be supported with a second session a few months later.

Thanks to new collagen production, the effect is usually maintained for 1–2 years, and longer in some patients. The duration varies with age, skin structure and lifestyle.

Because local anesthesia is used, no significant pain is felt during the procedure; there may be mild tenderness afterward.

No. Because the fiber is inserted through entry points the size of a needle tip, no stitches are needed and no scars are left.

Yes. It can be planned together with fillers, muscle-relaxant injections or surgical procedures for a more comprehensive result.
